Movie Review: Mary and Max

Can a simple claymation movie touch your heart?

"Mary and Max" directed by Adam Elliot is a tale of friendship between two unlikely pen pals Mary, a lonely, eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne, and Max, a forty-four-year old, severely obese man living in New York suffering from Asperges Syndrome.

The humor here is subtle and the emotions are genuine but what I really loved was the way this movie managed to pull my heart strings and play violin with it. :)

Saying anything more would spoil the fun.  It’s a simple heartwarming tale that relies purely on storytelling and witty dialogues.  It certainly deserves to be experienced once. :)

WARNING: Though it’s a Claymation movie it’s got some adult content.
